Yours is one view that on a certain level I agree with it.
However, every "work for the dole" scheme I've ever heard of has been derided by what feels like a majority as being demeaning or offering no lasting benefit or something similar.
Having unemployed folk living on the streets or out of cars like in America doesn't sound like a national policy that would gain much traction in Australia.
I have heard the occasional casual staff I employ in regional centres from time to time complain earning too much from us can affect how much they "earn" (yes, that's the way some look at it) on the dole!
So Fats, what would you recommend to fix the issue?
