Whatever you say or think about Howard, one knows that he is a true liberal.
Right or wrong, he takes a stand. He went for the GST against a fearsome campaign. He went for simplifying the industrial relations which will problably cost him. He started a debate on nulear energy - one he must have known was a NIMBY special. He refused to sign Kyoto even though it would be popular to do so.
What the heck is Rudd? I've posed the question previously - is he a true believer? Does he see the light on the hill? What does he stand for? If he's a Labor man then so am I.
