I hope you and Bahn are right on this. I hope that this isn't just another clever attempt by the Labour-Green alliance to bury the issue...in yet another "Enquiry".

This stinks like a cynical political ploy to temporarily take the political heat out of the issue, to neutralize this as a political wedge issue for Dutton, heading into the next election.

Unfortunately, history suggests that unless it's an independent Royal Commission, these government enquiries, or committee investigations, are where issues are often sent to die quietly, out of the media light, burried in bureaucracy. Nuclear power has had 3 of these government "enquiries", in the last 4 decades. The last one was led by Ziggy Switkowski.

I have just become so cynical and distrusting of this government. Bowen & Albanese, are ideological fanatics on renewables, like the Germans. They've invested billions in their renewables strategy, this is their baby.

I need to see concrete evidence, before I will ever believe this pair of jackals have suddenly done a 180deg turnabout.
