I am a pensioner with shares, and I agree that franking credits are a rort..... I get my dividends and fail to see where I should also claim back the franking credit.

An easy way out for either Government........
ANY dividend, from ANY Company to have tax paid by the Company granting the dividend.
The shareholders income to include all dividends and no tax saving credits.
e.g. Company "M" declares a dividend of 5c per share..... they pay the shareholder 4c, and pay tax to the Government of 1c (now, round figures only). No further claims on tax.
Remember that percentage you use of your home computer, power, or even that nice little office desk at home ??, well forget it..... that's also a rort.

OK... Flak jacket is on !!
