You don't believe in any conspiracies?
Personally I don't blindly trust Plimer and I doubt anybody does. But that's not the point. If a theory provides no non-trivial predictive value and is not falsifiable then it's not scientific.
I trust pure logic first.
My own direct observations second.
Other people's direct observations third.
Daylight fourth.
Then statistics fifth.
Then lots more daylight sixth.
Then other people's opinions seventh.
Simple logic says that the Earth is dominated by negative feedbacks otherwise it wouldn't still be habitable after billions of years. That means changes to the atmosphere will always be met with increases in countering variables.
I personally have witnessed hot, dry, cold, mild, wet summers, winters, springs and autumns with no discernible trend.
No idea why I should ignore this in favour of the opinions of people - people who are horrifically wrong about everything else.
