Certainly the banking attitude towards customers is changing but I have been banking with Suncorp and their previous name Metway for a lot of years and although we have had the odd problem their attitude and service was and continues to be first rate.
BUT each branch is different and a bad manager can wreck a branch very quickly and as banks are all the same it is only the service they provide that makes one better than another
The CBA is going through this business of basically closing all their branches and putting in shop front machine kiosks so without an on line ability the future looks bleak
We have never in our life used a ATM and are not likely to start, if I use a machine it is my own on my desk at home
As more and more banks shut their shopfronts and sack their staff we will continue though the banking system so as to continue to talk to the person looking after our money
Of course with interest rates so low and service so poor (in general) you could be convinced that a nice tin box under the rose bush is far superior
