The weekly Essential poll was discussed on Skynews this afternoon. No change in the figures, the coalition leading Labor 2PP by 12 points as last week. Greens 9%.
There was an improvement in how people saw the economy - but this was before the Holden layoffs.
People were asked why they thought the Gillard govt was so unpopular, given the state of the economy.
TRUST (ie lack of) was the response that came up as No 1 reason. Not sure if this was lack of trust re Gillard herself, or the govt as a whole.
