Caveat here I have not researched this in any detail but has been on my watchlist and have been meaning to look into it further so appreciate your opinion and you probably have a better idea than me. Generally however R&D spend is a good thing as long as it is successful as it contributes to the company's moat. Hardware which constantly needs upgrading and has low profit margins however is definitely a concern.
