This is the reply I got from one of the groups (The Institute for Environmental Conservation and Research) which are opposed to mining at Rapu Rapu. Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email dated Feb. 7, 2003. Fr. Dan Isidro, S.J. sent me your email about your query regarding mining problems in Rapu-Rapu.

We, in the INECAR still maintain our position of "No mining in Rapu-Rapu by any individual nor mining company"

I am also attending congressional hearing to request government to reconsider their decision to allow mining in Rapu-Rapu.

For further clarification, I am attaching several documents for your perusal.
