Also MOP not suitable for fruits, nuts and vegetables and is primarily used in large volume large acreage lower value cereal crops mostly.
90% comes from conversion of MOP --> SOP at a cost of ~$650/t
so market for brine produced SOP exists to replace some of this higher cost production at it appears production costs of around 350$/t are possible.
