Obviously, given my past postings....I'm mad as hell about this. That we have this rubbish in Australia, after all we have done to provide these 'people' with sanctuary and freedom. This is how they thank us? It is totally f-ing unacceptable. Round them up and deport them and their families. I have to admit I am confused about what Islam is anymore. Sadly I confess to having studied religion in uni in the US when I worked there for a few years....even more sadly I confess to having studied Islam in particular out of personal (short-lasted) interest a couple decades ago....so Muslims have no chance with fooling me. I know....everything they want to hide from the infidels....I know the threat. I hoped for many years that Islam would mature to something more acceptable and rational. And I know the future the fundamentalists and extremists (the only difference is the level of activity) insist upon. It is not good. It is pure evil.
When I was interested in Islam there was some extremism....but it was the fringe...Now I fear the extremism has been silently and accepted by much of the Muslim population, not just here......everywhere. The internet....world events....newspapers....they all get the drift. Wahhab or nothing....If there is a middle ground that can live with the rest of us - THEY need to eliminate extremists.....By reporting to authorities, or if in a country where that isn't possible...by doing it themselves and culling the crazies. THEY have to prove that Islam can live with the rest of us. The clock is ticking. If they don't do it....the West will.
