Kony was not fighting for Christianity, he was fighting because he was mad as a bat, thought he was possessed by spirits and was a typical African warlord. Also quoted the 10 commandments but by no means was similar to ISIS in his religious fervour.
The IRA is an interesting comparison. Fighting against another branch of the same religion much like the Sunni/Shia conflict. Was a bit more geographically limited and, to my knowledge, didn't have quite the millions flowing in that ISIS do. Also would have probably stopped if a united Ireland had been achieved by force.
Serious question. Where do you think ISIS will stop, territorially?
