To your 3rd point, I'm happy to be pointed to a quote , but DD wasn't speaking to Lithium ion exchange but pointing out that ion exchange broadly isn't new.
Someone earlier posted a comment from Snydacker that referenced how Lilac had taken existing tech used for uranium and other metals and developed one for lithium. Ion exchange is a standard process based on the breadth of use case, which is what DD was saying.
I think it is pretty standard across many industries to take existing proven tech and modify it for the target purpose.
There's has been lots of own goals and missteps for LKE over the journey, I don't think you need to add to it by taking comments out of context.
