The second article does not support your truth that Lambie got back on her feet when Palmer came along. It would seem she got back on her feet as a result of the car accident and subsequent rehab. Would be interesting to know if Lambie was around 65kg when carrying the 40 kg back pack. The breast reduction surgery is also interesting.

One would need a lot more detailed info to come to an informed opinion of Lambie from her time in the Army until now.
