agreed.... and both Whitlam and Hawke made promises they didn't keep to first Aussies. yet they both demonstrated a degree of empathy that has yet to appear in the Libs/Nats.
on review my post did look very one-sided and I recognise the error in my post that you rightly point to. poor writing.... but if we go back into history we'll see that pre-federation massacres were not politically aligned and generally supported across the community.
