Yep and the Siemens JV can go ahead in another country.

The downstream industry can be placed elsewhere which is why Lynas chose this joint in the first place.

I wonder how easy it would be once in production to form an industrial estate in say Vietnam or Thailand or Korea a bit closer to the action in the tech industry for all those downstream projects that spinnof from Lynas to prosper in a country that values FDI?

Makes some sense to me that after all of this BS in Malaysia it would be expected that this will be the case.

Just keep LAMP in Kuantan and all the other industries go somewhere , ANYWHERE else.

Imagine trying to set up a Siemens JV to produce magnets?

The mothers will be marching demanding this and that claiming that the magnetism is affecting their brains, demanding advanced studies into the effects of magnets on thier peach harvest festival, needing magnetic monitoring gear to assess the affects of magnets on the local goat population?

    LMFAO.
