It's very interesting to learn about Malaysian employee rights in relation to being laid off without cause. The Malaysian government is surprisingly very pro labor. So much so that very soon, LYC will have to visit and address severance issues with their LAMP employees if the new license provisions are not amended. Surely, counsel for LYC has addressed this with the relevant agencies. Giving fair warning to loyal employees to find other employment, as well as generous severance packets, is law in Malaysia, putting our LAMP employees on the razors edge as of about now. Amanda has already said that the closing of the C & L will result in hundreds of lay-offs.

I am wondering just how cruel the politics will become towards our valued team at the LAMP, not knowing how to provide for their families as the licensing "football" gets thrown back and forth. IMO, given these uncertain economic times and conditions, there is a ton of pressure to ensure our LAMP team of their job safety. It's not an issue that the ANTI LYNAS crowd ever protested over, though they should have considered. Many members if our LAMP team have been with Lynas for 10+ years. Again, I wonder how that will be perceived when they are all made redundant by a MYTH invented by uninformed protesters, and agencies governed over like a puppet show. IMO, this will not stand, and pressure over our team of employees and their furure are building behind a huge dam of RE demand and investment in Malaysia.

It's amazing what a little research does to bring some fresh air to a stale 10+ unresolved issue.
