Obviously we can never "build on every square inch." Australia has millions of hectares of under utilised rural land that accommodates 1 cow to the 100 acres....If the Chinese owned Australia the landscape would be quite different and I believe more productive IMO.
The point is Australia has more land than we need for generations I expect. There is no land shortage...not for a very long time....
