That's what happens when you buy property in a market on the back of a short term distortion of the market, in Darwin's case the building of the Inpex LNG facility.
If you think that will be replicated in Mel, Syd or Bris etc you are deluded.
Similar falls have occurred in the Pilbara, Roxby Downs & around mining towns in QLD. All inflated markets that no one with any sense would buy into.
