My understanding is that the only thing that is cheaper in the country is housing, every thing else is expensive and wagers are lower and thats if you can find a job and why would anyone want to buy a house at the currant prices and on going expences whether be in the country side or not, much better value in the share market, but apparently on the property forum "the only way to make money is through property".
The way thing are now in this country you can not afford a house or children, they are taxed to the hilt.
