Got to look at it pragmatically though , some of the stuff we did as youth was just wrong , the pub brawls , the hatred and vitriol towards Gays , wife bashing that was almost the norm , knowing there was incest in families and not reporting it , the acceptance of drink driving , parents smoking with the kids in the car and the windows rolled up with no seat belts .

One way to right some of the wrongs would be the Govt making it easier for young couples now to get into homes with subsidized low interest rate loans , they use to do that in the USA in the 1990s , I wrote up some of the FHA loans in California seemed to work well 3.5% interest rate from memory with a 5% deposit .

When Joh was in power that was the norm, so it still could be done EXCEPT for the huge number of new arrivals that would make it too expensive

??? Limit it to people who had both parents born in Aus so have paid taxes for a long period of time
