How anyone can actually think she was a good PM astounds me. So she shut down the loss making mines, but at what cost to the communities who were affected? Many of these miners, including many of my predecessors in Wales, had given everything, including many lives to the bloody Coal Board.
Originally these miners actually built their humble homes with their own sweat and blood and then the Coal Board took the possession of them and made them pay rent.
There could have been a very different way forward. That woman had a heart of stone. I despised her and her awful legacy still lives on.
