Well what needs to happen for a land lord to sell is to take away the profit of investing in residential property.

Once this is done property prices will fall and will enable some tenants to purchase a home.

That is where the renters go.

If there is no profit in residential property you will not see a land lord, but a lot more people will be able to buy a home if they wish.
