The 2x income households may be an interesting thing to follow over the next few decades. Marriage rates and birth rates are falling and ladies currently have lots of cushy office jobs in air-conditioned temperatures BUT are starting to complain about having to work until pension age ( those not married or divorced ) even in those jobs.
Let's see how they go when AI eliminates most of those cushy office jobs and the labouring jobs they shirk are all that is on offer that AI can't replace.
Two income families may not be so common when the jobs on offer are fixing sewerage and or garbage disposal or brickies labourer. Note those are higher paid then many cushy jobs but still shirked by woman despite their complaints about equal pay.
Women will take the easy option and find a sugar daddy or beta sucker and 2 incomes will be less common. THAT has implications for property prices down the line.
