During COVID, around 500k migrants left Australia. Therefore atleast 100k extra houses were available. However when they left, construction industry almost stalled. Net Immigration never significantly picked up after COVID. For example Australia is giving less than 8500 skilled visas so far this year. There are more skilled Australians going out than Australia is getting.
If migrants are taking all the houses, then how poor migrants are able to afford, while Australians with quality education and good jobs are crying?
