but still raving about the %ape of primary vote is absurd when we've had preferential voting for ever. what the low primary for both duopoly parties says is that voters have had enough of Lib and Lab. both parties are chock full of mediocrity, people who simply are not sensible enough to work in the real world. they're cop outs who found a rhetoric to encourage people to vote for them, and money raisers and networkers. these are the one who should be on the "B" Ark in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
so more people are voting for small parties or independents first before returning to a major party. if the first, second, third or fourth preference votes don't lead the dross at the end Lib and Lab the flower pot parties.
