Biota has to deal with the big pharma companies for the obvious reason that its products are likely to have worldwide markets and will thus need to be supported and sold by worldwide sales and support teams, supply chain management systems and marketing teams (to deal with worldwide regulatory regimes). Manufacturing is the easy bit and could be done here or wherever else it makes sense to do so. But it would be much more cost efficient to outsource the lot in return for a royalty.
