So far as BTA's commercial prospects are concerned it doesn't matter about this pandemic any more. What this outbreak of swineflu has shown the world is that stockpiling antivirals is sound policy. Whether we see an influenza virus or not with the infectious nature of swineflu combined with the lethal nature of birdflu is neither here nor there - stockpiles will be required regardless.
And it makes no difference whether its LANI or Relenza they are stockpiling - BTA's royalty stream is assured - if and until something as yet unforseen derails it.
