Agree with that, but at a high cost of treatment may be a barrier for families caught in a downturn. They don't have a PBS in the US and from my understanding of the Affordable Care Act a subsidy of up to 50% could be available, but this still leaves a large bill to pay.
The number of affected girls won't change but their capacity to afford the treatment could. This results in reduced revenues due to lower sales volumes or reduced selling prices in order to meet the market.
