There are a number of large Cobalt investments needed to start up some Cobalt producers. The question is will investors risk hundreds of millions of dollars and in some cases over 1 billion dollars without a guaranteed continuation of demand for Cobalt. A mine takes a minimum of 3 years to bring on line and a return on investments would only be forthcoming from the fourth year. So would an investment bank or Company be willing to invest such a huge amount of money with out a guarantee that Cobalt will still be used in the EV world 4 to 20 years from now. Is the risk bigger than the reward?
