Some other info on Silica Sands. Cape Flattery Silica Mines has an estimated resource of over 200 million tonnes of high quality silica sands in coexistence with Mitsubishi Corporation and is regarded as the biggest high purity sand mine in Australia.
Diatreme has a total of a 542 sq km tenement, open to the North & West of the deposit and is part of the same sand dune as Cape Flattery Silica Mines (Mitsubishi). Diatreme has a Maiden Inferred Resource of 21.6 million tonnes from an area of 1 sq km. (Gives you an idea of how many tonnes in a sq km). No doubt Diatreme may have the same costs as Mitsibishi getting the sand to port.
VRX's Arrowsmith's North And South deposits have a conservative 140 to 220 million tonnes at 95% + SiO2 which could make it larger than Mitsubishi Corp's mine. Muchea's high quality sand should easily make VRX Australia's largest silica sand mining company.
