I wonder if anyone can help fill in the blanks with the following.
Tat is supposedly the gold standard in cpp, although they are curreny not in commercial use. Are these cpps able to enter a wide range of cells, or are they only able to enter certain types. In the cells they do enter have they beed proven to escape the endosome in any way. I guess proof would be in effective delivery of drug cargo during trials but not sure?.
With pyc would it be correct to think that what they are suggesting with endosomal escape trap is that they can scan a certain cell type and show which cpp from a large range is most effective at entering and escaping. Would it also be correct to assume a cpp that is able to escape endosome in one cell type may not do the same in another.
Ultimately i guess i am trying to put two and two together to work out if what they are trying to do is find a cpp that has an affinity to cancer cells in particular, possibly even certain type of cancer, and ultimately could be injected into bloodstream and attack cancer cells while largely leaving other cells untouched.
That was what i thought the plan was when i first got a bit excited about the technology, and also why i got frustrated when they stsrted directly injecting tumors rather than letting the cpp find it.
