It seems cancers can form from many different cell types originally, and are generally a cell that has mutated and stsrted to reproduce out of control, f oes that sound correct.
I would wonder if a cpp that can enter a mutated cancer cell has exactly the same ability to enter the healthy version of the cell. It is the potential targeting side of the technology that really interests me. It seems if it cant be made cell specific then it is not much better than chemo. Depending on how toxic the attached drugs are.
Just injecting our best or third best cpp directly into a tumor though does not show any ability to selectively target the particular cell type. I hope at some point they can do this. Omomyc was no cureall but at least their original trials showed that if it was turned on within the mouse model it appeared to directly target the tumors without needing to be injected into them.
