Why is Austal not building virginia class subs at ASC. Why is the govt partnering with the UK to build but first finish developing the AUKUS sub. We will not get the first AUKUS sub till after 2040 ,no common sense as usual and we will probably be living on mars.. It makes no sense. We will be maintaining the US subs when the visit etc etc etc. The cost is insane for Australia to have virginia class and be building and maintaining aukus subs .its one or the other 2040 doesn't cut it so build the virginia class in Australia if we need more than the 3 option of 2total 5 total.I doubt it for many reasons. ,its BS.
