I think a good way to learn is to either paper trade or play the fluctuations in a share that you are prepared to hold as a medium term investment if the short term moves dont always go as you hope.
That is how i approach it and if it goes against me slightly one day i tend to get a profitable exit the next day.
Just my opinion though, and i dont believe in trading with more than i can do without as i am no master of it.
