A hypothetical - what if Big Ben didn't cut rates yesterday and the US did plummet 1000 points as Martis predicted. He would be on here now gloating and saying did anyone listen?? I tried to warn you all! (as he is so good at highlighting these points).

Everyone would be complaining that he was gloating and taking pleasure in other people's pain and it was not warranted (regardless of how rational or irrational the fall was).

How is this different to Raks' comments?

Just because the market is irrational (it quite often is), people will do irrational things under the assumption that the irrationality might continue and they might lose more money. Simple human nature. This doesn't give someone the right to call these people dweebs. After all, if it fell again today instead of rising, the holders would be the dweebs. It's a toss of a coin on days like yesterday.
