i did not even notice that trade.
are you sure the trade was at 52c?
because i just looked at the Trading Room site, and it said that the lowest trade was 58c - i cannot look up yesterdays trades anywhere.
i wish i had that sort of money to buy at 52c.
I would not be surprised if the seller was either of Bumi or SAAD. It seems that Bumi is scratching around for cash, and Indonesia has gone to the IMF for funding that country's problems. So Bumi would probably need the cash, and would have made a small profit at 52c and a good profit at 58c.
SAAD i gather also would like the cash, as i understand that it has lost money on its equity investments overseas.
The parcel of 3.8m shares is about 3.5% of total capital of 110m shares. So the buyer will not have to lodge s/s/h notice. But if seller was Bumi or SAAD, then of course they will need to. I think they have 3 b/days to lodge.
