I agree it will be very beneficial to have access or even ownership of the CAWSE plant. I have not had involvement with this plant.
This would be great if the plant was processing any Ni Laterite. Once Ni price goes up owners may just run on procured feedstock (similar to Yabulu) or $/tonne rate.
Ni must continue to rise because they won't process the nickel at 0.7% and at the current price, to only extract the Cobalt value just yet. Economics of that don't stack.
If Ni price rises, and stabilises, there will be several options for the mined product to be processed.
These calculations are, I'm sure being thrashed out by the management of many entities right now.
