I thought someone might pick up on these figures-
"James Poole sold half his share to the cattle king, Sidney Kidman, for a herd of bullocks worth only £40. As perspective on their mistakes, in its first year alone BHP mined ore worth more than £42,000 (equivalent in value to about $6.5 million today)."
So Sidney Kidman sold, in todays terms, the equivalent of a very small tractor, that would be useful for a 10 acre block of land, for a 1/14th holding in a recently discovered mineral deposit of Broken Hill, thousands of kilometers from the Coast.
So in the 1st year of mining Sidney earnings before costings and taxes would have been $474,000 or close to half a mill.
Giving Sidney a 1050% return before debits and taxes.
AVZs 2017, 12 month returnings to early entrant shareholders, netting the top Materials/ Energy ASX return of 1579%. See attached.
I opinion in the 1st quarter of 2018, that AVZ may achieve a modest return from >100% to > 400% from the 0.235 end of year share price. To greater than 0.50 to 1.00.
Im typically pretty poor in the mathematics department. So if the following figures are out Im very happy for them to be corrected.
In overall terms AVZ may acheive a total return of between 33.5 to 67.1 x (3350 to 6710%) Return on Investment)
Expressed from the share price of 0.0149. (0.235 ÷1579% =0.0148828372).
