According to the forecast of the Roadmap of Energy Conservation and New Energy Technology by China Society of Automotive Engineers, the production and sales volume of new energy vehicles in China will be about 8 million by 2025. By 2030, annual production and sales of new energy vehicles in China will reach 40% of the total number of vehicles, That is about 15 million units.


As of October 2017, total of 195,000 public charging stations were completed nationwide, up 82.2% over the same period of last year; and 188,000 private charging stations, an increase of 214% over last year. China set up a goal of adding 4.8 million new charging posts by 2020.

By 2030, China's estimated to have 80 million units of electric car.
