Very good point, I agree.
AVZ's Manono deposit (60%), had lithium resource estimate in 1978, 17.1Mt LCE.
And also historically produced tin and some lithium concentrate from a depth of 25 - 45m!!!
There were eight historical lithium resource estimates for Manono-Kitotolo
, from
17.1Mt LCE in 1978 to
6.3Mt LCE in 2011, Avereage
9.3Mt LCE
TIN AND TANTALUM RESERVE ESTIMATES:
1.2 USGS & Historical Geological Reference Reports:
Direct quotes from USGS reports:
"
A report by Barzin, Managing Director of Geomines, states that the pegmatites are both 5.5 km long and average 400 metres wide (Barzin, 1952). The pegmatite sills have been proven to a depth of 125 metres by drilling. A calculation using these dimensions shows that re sources are enormous. The pegmatites of Manono and Kitotolo probably represent the
largest spodumene resource in the world."
"The largest known lithium-containing pegmatites occur in the vicinity of Manono."
"Manono pegmatites is not a speculative resource."
So What AVZ has done?
AVZ has drilled 7 holes cross the project, and lab assay results, being, world's record lithium intervals,
+10km strike length, 3 out of the 7 holes returned over 200m thickness high grade lithium and tin by product.
Exploration target: 1Bt - 1.2Bt @ 1.25% - 1.5% Li2O.
KDR's Earl Grey deposit of 128Mt @1.44% is defined within
1.4km strike length x 900 width x 70m average thickness.
AVZ's Manono porject, +10km strike length x 400m x 150-200m thickness? around 7 times of Earl Grey deposit.
DYOR.
All 7 holes open at depth.
These should substantially reduce exploration risk, imo.
