There seems to have been a lot of misinformation and lack of knowledge on silver plays on the SS1 thread, not too surprising considering the ASX's limited breadth of Silver plays. A few key points I think people should note:
- The project has been in the pipeline with SS1 for over a year, this was not a rush to market on the back of the Ag price, this has been a planned and luckily well timed listing
- A large proportion of managements shares are in ESCROW and will be for a considerable time period, this doesn't really suggest a pump/dump scenario to me, they have belief in the project
- Yes the grade is low, but look at Rochester, a similar mine in the district, Ag head grade is almost 75% lower than Maverick Springs, yet it is on track to be one of the largest silver mines in the United States
- Nevada is a fantastic jurisdiction, one of the best. The US are screaming for nationally sourced green metals, which Ag is now transitioning to be
- The project has scale, with the only fair replicating stock on the ASX is SLV, but as noted in a previous post, NSW will have greater permitting challenges than a Nevada based project where large precious metal operations are their bread and butter
- MS has the advantage of being an Ag-Au system. This is much more favourable than Ag-Pb-Zn and if I was to be operating an Ag mine, I would much prefer Au was my by-product...

All stocks come with their risk, but I personally don't think you could find a better timed, desired commodity IPO to be hitting the ASX. It will take some time for people to digest but with good news flow and positive results this could easily move towards a $2-300million market cap sized company (imho). Also discussions with several broking firms and investment houses, a lot of the smart money is pivoting towards silver, which to me, seeing 'sophisticated' investors jumping on board (plus AG hovering just below 30USD/Oz signals the time is hopefully here for Silver.
