I can understand how you think it doesn't make much sense. I was cheesed off that they raised $18M, diluting our shares and driving the SP down to 16c thinking this really shows me they don't value retail investors. However, when the silver spot price is expected to fall with federal interest rates rising, it's quite natural that short sellers jump in. Weak investors aways likely to sell out once they see those mining protesters on TV. Just what I expected to happen actually. Perhaps it is good thing they didn't offer retail investors a discount via the Cap Raising. Now we can buy shares for a measly 14c.

It is not easy to be brave, but at times like this one needs to take a deep breath and think about it clearly. I'm after all a speculative investor during the past 2 years. I have 3% shares but only 3% of that's actually invested in SVL. I always accepted the risks from the start this kind of thing can happen so why should we surprised? The low 14c per share now looks very tasty, but also the risk is quite substantial. Since I don't have much available cash, I am just going to hang tough with my longer-term strategy and wait this out.

Everyone has their own situation and I would never try to offer advice except to not act emotionally. I still recall how I felt once COVID first hit the news headlines. I made some of my best investment decisions right at that very moment.
