Larkinville, home of the Golden Eagle nugget found on the 15 of January 1931 by Jim Larcombe & son. One small group of shafts South of the Eagle produced over 10,000 ounces & when it was last worked in the late eighties produced 9 ounces to the ton.To the north is Wattle Dam ( Gold ) & Spargoville ( Nickel ). In 1987 i had pegged all of Wattle Dam, but due to the crash & my partners at the time i had to let it go. I still cry in my beer. Golden Eagle nugget 1,136 ounces. Also to the north is Logans Find another rich, but small gold deposit. My old stamping ground.
