    I've had it done..the old PRK. The newer oner is Lasik.
    However I would not have done it if I had known about the possible problems. You can have trouble as you get older. The aging eye cannot pass cells across the surface of the cornea due to the unanatural thinning caused by the laser. Haze can build, and you can go blind in your old age. The eye surgeons pay mega $$$s for the laser machines and have to pay them off somehow, so they push the procedure. Just because its a widely advertised operation does not mean its a safe operation. They do not advertise the cock ups they make. You may also have to go back to glasses after the eyes re-adjust. You cannot sue them because you have to sign a legal document before they will operate. Keep wearing specs, its much safer.
