It's not uncommon for the banks to want to see a portion of the capex raised & executed first.

We can probably expect the options to be converted on financing for the first tranche alone, that's a pretty substantial amount of cash and alone would cover the Jinan loan at a premium to raising equity now at such a low price.

I believe you will see value adding, Xingchen Graphite are working with Triton and Jinan on a proposal...I think we can expect some signed deals once the construction process is underway and Xingchen are confident they are not wasting their time again...After the BB Nicanda Hill offtake affair.

Plenty of fireworks to be had imo once financing is on the way...I agree with @gimmegimme Ancuabe is the soft and profitable underbelly into graphite for Triton but it's a precursor to bigger things for Nicanda Hill...With the acceleration of the EV sector we look now set to have, meaningful discussion can be had after financing with Tritons share price had a premium.

We would not want a JV now a 6c, believe me...But at 40c and cash positive we have leverage for a jv on Nicanda Hill.

Hi BigDaniel, it's not hard to cover a $2m loan via a quick Capital raising if needed, different story trying to cover a $20m loan.

And whether it's secured or not doesn't matter, once the VA is called in if unable to meet repayments Creditors are basically in control of the company, whether they are secured or not.

To me if they haven't got full funding organised then they are taking a massive risk by going into debt for part of total project cost.
