Hi False,
In my opinion NG should be given a chance. To support the current movement and show that he can work together/with those that want this company to be run correctly which he should then retain his position and continue on, or the alternative where he fights tooth and nail to stop this much needed change from happening and then I believe he should be shown the door.
I guess the ball is in his court to wether he will be kept on or shown the door determined by his actions in this critical time of change.
I personally would hope he supports this movement and realises it is for the benefit of the company. This will then make it a lot easier to keep him as he will show that his interest do align with those making this change.
Alternatively, as I’ve said, he fights against and shows that he will not change and will not align his interests with shareholders, in which case I don’t see any other way besides showing him the door.
