I agree, having some cash reserves in a rising rate market is a solid move IMO.AMP still owns solid assets Australia wide and is simply selling assets it views as not having a future. Cashing in on top dollar for something with limited opportunity was the correct decision.
Time to re asses the business with its sack of cash and move forward with the valued opportunities that present themselves.
