Meridian recently increased their FAR holding and in the May announcement YF Finance was listed as one of the entities associated with Meridian.
The Kazakh oligarch Yevgieny Feld is the YF in YF Finance and he has been a FAR holder for a number of years.
FAR has used convertible notes as debt before - this snippet is from FAR 2013 report. I expect Yevgieny would be happy to convert to additional equity should it come to that. Hopefully FAR will find a way to pay by maturity but $200M raised in this way with maturity around 2023 might be a way to raise the additional funds. How do FAR pay the interest along the way though? Maybe a big placement now although dilutionary would be preferable?
