From what i gathered IB charges a flat $30 DRS Transfer fee, it is actually Odyssey Trust that charges the rest ($200 or so).
Based on that there is no way of getting around it besides getting the transfer agent to sell them off at market price.

I decided to pay up and hold them for a while, the merged group are becoming the leaders in the prospect generator game (leasing out their endless land in return for cashflow) and are bound to stumble across something big on their own when they start drilling soon
